The governor of the state of Niger, Umaru Bago, expressed his condolences to the government and the people of the State of Plateau after the approval of the former senator and minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Lieutenant General Jeremiah Useni.
In a condolence message signed by its Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor described the death of Lieutenant General Useni as a significant loss for Nigeria and humanity.
He recalled the outstanding commitment and the notable contributions of the general general to the construction of the nation during his military service and in his subsequent political career.

The governor emphasized that Lieutenant General Useni has left a vacuum, particularly in northern Nigeria, which only God can fill.
He extended his sympathies to the government and the people of the State of Plateau and prayed for God to grant eternal rest to the soul of the deceased and provide comfort to all those affected by his death.
