Bago government body members to take advantage

The governor of the state of Niger, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has urged members of the National Youth Services Corps (NYSC) to explore opportunities in agriculture and their value chain.

The governor made the call during the conclusion of the Lot B Stream 2024 orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in the State Paikoro Local Government area.

Umaru Bago, who was represented by the Commissioner for the Development of Sports and Youth, Alhaji Yahaya Gulbin-Boka, urged the body members to participate in the Program for the Acquisition of Skills and Business Development (SAED) to acquire skills that would be beneficial for them in the long term.

The governor also encouraged body members to take advantage of their competence in ICT to obtain the “Digital Alfabetacy for All” recently marked in Minna campaign.

“Developed economies are driven by technology. Well, take advantage of this opportunity,” he said.

The governor also urged the body members to take advantage of the state agricultural value chain, aimed at feeding the nation, to be self -sufficient.

Previously in her welcome speech, the Nysc coordinator in the state of Niger, Mrs. Olayinka Abdulwahab, accused the members of the body to defend the values ​​of the scheme and make significant contributions to the construction of the nation.

He stressed that the guidance course was designed to familiarize the body members with the objectives of the scheme and prepare them for the expectations of the year of service.

Abdulwahab highlighted the objective of the NYSC to promote integration and unity, pointing out that the deployment of the body members in the state of Niger together with individuals of various origins exemplifies this noble objective.

She said that the SAED program aims to instill values ​​of self -sufficiency, self -development and wealth creation in body members.

Also speaking, the Secretary of the Government of the State of Niger and president of the Governing Board of the NYSC, Alhaji Usman Abubakar, emphasized the role of the NYSC in the promotion of the unit among young graduates of various origins.

Usman, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of the State of Sports and Youth Development, Dr. Nuhu Garba Naski, urged the members of the body to develop strong bonds of friendship, understand and respect the cultures and traditions of their host communities.

He advised that they contribute positively to the growth of their host communities and assure them services, accommodation and security essential for their well -being and success during their stay in the state.
