The exciting Hollywood movie “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is almost making N400 million from ticket sales.
Filmoneng, a movie company in West Africa, says the movie has made N360 million in Nigeria since it came out on June 7.
Last week, it was the number one movie in Nigeria. It stayed at the top for three weeks in a row, even after being in cinemas for four weeks already.
“Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is the Hollywood movie that made the most money in Nigeria, according to Film One Entertainment. In just 11 days, it earned N167 million. Last week, it made a total of N334 million.
During its first weekend (June 7-9, 2024), “Bad Boys 4” made N68.94 million. This made it the most-watched movie in Nigerian cinemas at that time. By the end of the first week, it made over N100 million, reaching N104 million in just six days.
Adil & Bilall directed “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” and Chris Bremner and Will Beall wrote it. This is the fourth movie in the popular buddy cop series. It follows Miami detectives Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence).
The movie brings back actors like Joe Pantoliano, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, Jacob Scipio, John Salley, and DJ Khaled. New to the cast, Tasha Smith plays Theresa Burnett, taking over from Theresa Randle.
The story is about detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett trying to clear the name of their late Captain Conrad Howard, who is wrongly accused of conspiracy.

“Bad Boys: Ride or Die” has earned more than $362 million worldwide. Out of this, $179 million came from theaters in the US. Since the first movie in 1995, the “Bad Boys” series has made over $1.2 billion in total. According to Collider, the series hit the billion-dollar mark less than two weeks after the June 7 premiere.
“Ride or Die” still needs to earn more to become the most successful movie in the “Bad Boys” series. It needs to beat “Bad Boys for Life,” which made $426.5 million worldwide after its 2020 release. Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who worked on the last two movies, got good reviews from critics.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has very good ratings, up to 97%. The ongoing success of the “Bad Boys” series makes people wonder if there will be a fifth movie. Both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are open to making “Bad Boys 5.” Producer Jerry Bruckheimer said they have already talked about a sequel.
