APC Struggles in Adamawa: Advocacy Group Raises Alarm

Must Read

A group of people in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State say their local party group is in trouble.

This group, called Tinubu/Shettima Foundation, had a big meeting in Yola, the main city of Adamawa State, on Saturday. At the meeting, they talked about how everyone in the party is fighting and how the leaders do not really care about the loyal members.

People from all 21 areas of Adamawa State came to the meeting. They are worried about the fighting in the party. They said that if no one steps in to fix things, the party might fall apart.

The DAILY POST news says that this fighting is why the APC lost the governor’s seat in the state back in 2019. The party had the governor from 2015, but then they lost because they couldn’t get along.

Alhaji Yahaya Hammanjulde, the head of the Tinubu/Shettima Foundation, talked to the press after the meeting. He said that many people might leave the party if they do not fix the problems.

He said that even party leaders are doing things against the party, and they don’t care about the loyal members.

“This party is like a boat that is about to sink. If the important people do not come to help us, the boat will go under very soon,” Hammanjulde said.
