APC Secures Victory in All Local Government Council Seats in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Independent Electoral Commission (JISIEC) has announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the leadership race in all 27 local areas in the state.

A person named Habibu Yarima, who speaks for JISIEC, shared this news with the media. He explained that the results were shared at each local office and voting center in the 27 areas.

He said, “The All Progressives Congress (APC) has achieved victory in all the 27 leadership spots and secured 281 out of 287 local representative positions, which were contested by 11 parties on October 5.”

He also shared that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) won one local representative spot in Margadu Ward, Guri Local Area. The Accord Party won four spots: Ajaura Ward in Taura Local Area, Kanwa Ward in Jahun Local Area, Maiaduwa Ward in Gagarawa Local Area, and Guntusu Ward in Gwaiwa Local Area.

He noted, “The winner for the local representative in Dubantu Ward, Hadejia Local Area, was not announced because there were arguments over the count, and some voting boxes were damaged.”

The leader of JISIEC, Hon. Auwalu Muhammad Harbo, has already given official certificates to all winners of the 27 local leadership positions.

Reacting to the results, the leader of the Jigawa State All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel, congratulated his party for the large victory.

The media found out that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) is not happy with the election results.
