APC Criticizes PDP Governors: “Wike Inaugurates Projects You Neglected Since 2010”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has spoken out against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after the PDP governors had a meeting in Enugu on Wednesday.

According to DAILY POST, during the meeting, PDP governors said that APC has ruined the country’s economy and important institutions.

The PDP governors met to talk about a recent Supreme Court decision that gave more financial freedom to local government councils. They also discussed other big issues in the country, such as rising prices of food and economic difficulties facing Nigerians.

APC, through its National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, responded with strong words against PDP governors. APC called them inheritors of corruption and said they have no right to criticize because they have failed both morally and politically.

APC said that PDP governors don’t understand their roles and responsibilities in the government.

“They don’t realize that they are supposed to use the resources given to them to develop their states and improve the lives of their people,” APC stated.

“Instead, the PDP governors just blame the federal government for everything that goes wrong, while they themselves fail to deliver basic services to their citizens,” APC added.

For example, APC pointed out that Delta State, which has been governed by PDP since 1999, receives the most money from the federal government. Yet, it is known for corruption and poor management, with many workers not getting their salaries and pensions on time.

APC also criticized PDP governors for not paying the legal minimum wage to their workers. They said it is hypocritical for these governors to accuse President Bola Tinubu’s administration of delaying a new minimum wage.

“Nigerians remember the 16 years of PDP rule, during which the party did nothing worthwhile,” APC claimed.

“The APC government, with the help of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, is now completing many road projects that were started and paid for by previous PDP governments but were abandoned,” APC continued.

APC also said that the economic policies brought in by PDP, like the petroleum subsidy and foreign exchange regimes, caused significant harm to the nation’s economy. They claimed that the APC is working hard to fix these problems.

“The temporary difficulties caused by necessary changes will soon be nothing compared to the long-term benefits these changes will bring to all Nigerians,” APC concluded.
