Popular Nigerian actor, Damola Olatunji shared a personal story about his ex-fiancee getting pregnant by someone else just a few weeks before their introduction ceremony.
In a chat with actress Biola Bayo on an episode of Talk To B’s show, Damola also talked about the rumors and issues around his split from Bukola Arugba, who is the mother of his twins.
Responding to claims that he left his marriage and abandoned his family, Damola said it’s sometimes better for couples to separate peacefully instead of staying together and fighting.
“My fiancee got pregnant by another man just weeks before our introduction,” he said.
“This is the first time I’m talking about my divorce. People have said I left my marriage and my home, but these are my kids we’re talking about. Feelings can change, and love can fade. If a relationship isn’t working, it’s better to go separate ways than to end up fighting.
“Couples with kids should avoid fighting in public because the children will read about it when they grow up.
“I’m not a deadbeat dad. Even though we’ve separated, I still take care of my children. My kids will tell you, ‘My dad is the best in the world.’”
As a reminder, actress Bukola Awoyemi, also known as Arugba, publicly announced her separation from Damola in 2023.
