Supporters, under the auspices of the Ikemba Front, a political pressure group of the party, said that after the death of Ubah, who was their choice for the governorship position, they began searching for an aspirant who shared the same ideals as the group. and his former director and decided that Chukwuma was best suited for the position.
The group’s 21 local government coordinators, who spoke during an endorsement rally at Chukwuma’s house in Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, on Saturday, commended Chukwuma for his development plan for Anambra State.
The group promised to intensify the mobilization campaign to ensure that 21/21 emerges during the elections themselves.
The candidate, upon receiving the members, said: “I salute the founders of the Ikemba Front for their support today. I remember I was the only one in the gubernatorial race before Ifeanyi Ubah came.
“When the Ikemba Front endorsed Ubah, I knew that I had lost great politicians, but with the demise of Ubah, today I am happy that they have endorsed me as their aspirant.
“I have heard of many groups working for APC, but the Ikemba Front stands out. No candidate should take their support for granted. Everyone wants your support and I'm happy to be the one to get it.
“What we are saying is that we will win these elections, both the primaries and the main elections. APC today is strengthened; All we have to do is get out and begin our mobilization.
“With this support, my primary election is 50 percent done. With this support I am now more strengthened to continue with this contest.”
Chukwuma added that his number one plan for the state is to regain security, lamenting that in Anambra neither the Reverend Sisters nor the Fathers are saved from the kidnappers, but “the acting governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has no idea what to do.” . do”.
According to him, Anambra voters would be proud of his administration if he had the opportunity to govern the state. “Our prayer point from today should be for APC to take over Anambra Government House on November 8, 2025. My endorsement is not a surprise because I started this process a year and a month ago. I am running for the number one position to rescue Ndi-Anambra from the trending insecurity, poverty and hunger. I am also in the race to connect Anambra State with the centre,” Chukwuma noted.
