AMPRAC Denies Claims About Suspected Kidnapper

On Saturday, the Association of Movie Practitioners, AMPRAC, said that Henry Odenigbo, who was shot by police in Lagos, was not one of their members.

The president of AMPRAC, Ifeanyi Azodo, spoke to reporters in Enugu and confirmed this.

He stated clearly that Henry had no ties with AMPRAC at all.

Henry Odenigbo was known as a Nollywood actor and movie producer. Sadly, he and six others were killed by the police while planning to kidnap a businessman in Lagos.

Police found out about the plan and stopped it, killing seven of the kidnappers. Two of them managed to get away.

Azodo responded to the event by saying that their records show that Henry was never part of AMPRAC. He added that they do not allow people with bad characters to join them.

Azodo said, “Our members and fans were shocked when they heard that Henry Odenigbo was said to be part of AMPRAC. This is a lie.

“When the news came out, I checked with the AMPRAC chairman of Rivers State. He looked at his records and did not find Henry’s name. I also checked the records we send to the census board, and his name was not there either.

“So, I don’t understand why someone would say such a thing. It is not true. Henry was never a member of AMPRAC.

“Before anyone can join AMPRAC, we screen them to make sure they are good people. We do not know Henry Odenigbo.

“We have proof and can show you our records from AMPRAC Rivers State. His name is not there, and it will never be there.

“We make sure to check the background of anyone who wants to join. This helps us avoid choosing criminals.

“We do this because we know that we are role models in society. Henry was never with us, and he is not in our records,” Azodo said.
