News: Arrest for Theft in Osun State

The Osun Amotekun group caught three people in Ode-Omu, Ayedaade Local Government Area. They were trying to steal parts of a car.

This information comes from Yusuf Idowu, the spokesperson for the Amotekun Corps, on Friday.

He shared that the suspects were caught while they were trying to sell the stolen parts to a man who buys scrap metal.

“The suspects are Sodiq Oyedokun, 21; Ojoko Ayomiposi, 21; and Busari Ayomide, 24. They were caught on Wednesday when they wanted to sell the stolen items to a scrap dealer, Malam, in Ode-Omu.

“Malam did not buy the stolen parts. Instead, he told the Amotekun operatives, who came quickly and arrested the thieves right away,” he said.

When the Amotekun operatives asked questions, the suspects admitted that they stole the parts from a mechanic workshop in Akure, Ondo State. They moved to Ode-Omu to sell the items but got caught.

The accused people have now been sent to the Ondo State Amotekun Command for more questions and legal steps.
