Amotekun Corps Arrest Kidnap Suspects in Ondo State

The special security group in Ondo State called Amotekun Corps caught two people who kidnapped others.

The bad guys took four people from a road known for danger, Owo/Ose highway.

When showing the suspects at their headquarters in Akure, the leader, Adetunji Adeleye, said he personally led his team and local hunters to catch the kidnappers and save the victims.

Mr. Adeleye said these bad people had been making trouble for farmers and people traveling on the Elegbeka/Ifon road.

He also said that the suspects admitted taking a ransom of N1.2 million from some victims in August.

The kidnappers fought with the Amotekun team before being caught.

“One day before we rescued the victims, we heard about a kidnapping on a well-known route. Our team quickly got ready and worked with local hunters.

“We searched the forest where we thought the victims were kept. By the end of the day, we saved four people.

“What made this mission important was that we identified two of the suspects. They are not just suspects anymore; they are confirmed kidnappers.”, said Commander Adeleye.

The Commander also said these same people were responsible for other kidnappings in the area. They had been caught before but somehow came back. Now, they are in custody again.
