American Actress Shelley Duvall Passes Away at 75

American actress Shelley Duvall has sadly passed away at the age of 75.

Her partner, Dan Gilroy, shared the news with The Hollywood Reporter.

She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Blanco, Texas, because of diabetes complications, on Thursday.

“My sweet, wonderful partner and friend has left us. She suffered a lot lately, but now she’s free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley,” Gilroy told The Hollywood Reporter.

Shelley Duvall started her acting journey in 1970, with a funny movie called ‘Brewster McCloud.’ She even won a big award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in the 1977 drama ‘3 Women.’

Three years later, she played Olive Oyl with Robin Williams in the musical ‘Popeye.’

After that, Duvall wasn’t seen much in Hollywood for almost 20 years. Then, she made her return in 2023 with the movie ‘The Forest Hills.’

Many people remember her best from her performances in ‘The Shining,’ ‘Annie Hall,’ and ‘Nashville.’
