Super Eagles Deserve More from Rwanda Match
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru said that the Super Eagles should have won Tuesday’s game against Rwanda in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The game ended in a 0-0 tie at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
The Super Eagles had many chances to score but didn’t use them well.
Some of the players like Ademola Lookman, Victor Boniface, Moses Simon, and Victor Osimhen missed good chances to score.
Dele-Bashiru said that it was still good that they didn’t lose the game.
“I think we played well, but it was hard because we were playing away from home. Their fans were cheering for them. There were many things to consider,” said the Lazio midfielder after the game.
“The problem was that we couldn’t score from the chances we created. But it’s good that we didn’t let them score either.
“This result will help us in our goal to qualify for the AFCON. It’s not the result we wanted, but it’s not bad either,” he added.
