Adamawa police arrest two alleged kidnappers in Yola South, Demon

Adamawa State Police command agents have arrested two alleged kidnappers in Ngurore Forest and Gborom Mountain, located in the areas of the local government of Yola South and Demona.
Police spokesman Sp Suleiman Nguurje confirmed arrests in a statement issued in Yola on Friday, noting that the operation was carried out with the help of local hunters. The arrest followed the credible intelligence with respect to the hiding places of the suspects in the area.

According to Nguuroje, the criminals opened fire against the Police by noticing their presence, which led to a shooting. This exchange resulted in the capture of two suspects, identified as Mohammed and Halilu Muhammad.

Nguuroje also revealed that other gang members managed to escape with alleged shooting wounds, and efforts are ongoing to stop them.

During the operation, the authorities confiscated several weapons, including two AK-47 rifles, 66 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, a pump action rifle, a Dane gun and several charms.

The police commissioner praised the successful operation and assured the public the dedication of the police command to fight the crime. He urged residents, particularly those in Yola South and Demsa, to inform any individual seen with suspicious injuries to help in the ongoing investigations.
