Famous Nigerian actor and activist, Yomi Fabiyi, wants people to protest on the first anniversary of singer Mohbad’s death.
Fabiyi shared this idea on his Instagram page. He asked Nigerians to come to the next court meeting about Mohbad’s death.
He also suggested that if nothing new happens at the next court meeting, people should protest on the first anniversary of Mohbad’s death to ask for justice.
Fabiyi wrote: “Let’s go to the court peacefully at the next meeting and protest to show what we want. If we don’t hear anything new, let’s focus on the one-year anniversary of his death.”
Mohbad, a former member of the Marlian record label, died on September 12, 2023, under unclear circumstances.
Because of the many questions about his death on social media, the Lagos State Police started a special team of 13 people to investigate.
On September 21, 2023, Mohbad’s body was taken out of his grave for an autopsy at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
A few months later, the pathologist said they couldn’t find out the cause of Mohbad’s death because the body was too decomposed.
Mohbad’s family was unhappy with this result and asked for another autopsy to be done independently.
