Must Read

Two people from China, named Chen Wenguang and Liang Ding, were taken by bad guys in the Kemta/Abule-Owu area on Onigbedu Road in Ogun State.

This happened at about 1:45 pm on a Sunday when Wenguang and Ding left their workplace to go visit friends.

A police officer said that both Wenguang and Ding work with the Good One Carton Company which is located nearby.

“Wenguang and Ding decided to leave the company by themselves. They did not tell anyone, including the police and military. They didn’t even inform their company,” the officer said.

“They told a few people that they were going to Kémta village, which is about one kilometer away, to see some friends,” he added.

When the news reached the police, the spokesperson for the state, Omolola Odutola, confirmed it. She mentioned that the bad guys had called the company to ask for money to free Wenguang and Ding.

She said, “The company’s security head reported that one of the workers called to say Wenguang and Ding were kidnapped and that the kidnappers were asking for money.”

Omolola also mentioned that the police in the Ewekoro Division, helped by local security, military staff, hunters, and community groups, searched the entire Kémta Village forest but couldn’t find the two men.

She assured that efforts were on to rescue them.
