American rapper and music boss, Rick Ross, is in legal trouble for not making his show easy for people who use wheelchairs.
A man named Darris Straughter, who can’t walk, is suing Ross. He says that Ross didn’t make his Car & Bike Show friendly for people with disabilities.
Darris bought a ticket and made plans to travel and stay overnight. But when he got to Ross’ big 235-acre home called ‘The Promised Land’ in Fayetteville, Georgia, he couldn’t go in.
Darris hurt his spine in 2018 and has been in a wheelchair since then. Two weeks before the event, he told the show organizers what he needed.
He is also upset because the people running the show said they would give money back to anyone who couldn’t come in, but Darris says he never got his money back.
Now, Darris, with help from his lawyer John Hoover Esq., is suing Rick Ross. He says Ross broke a promise, used his money unfairly, and didn’t follow the law that helps people with disabilities, called the Americans With Disabilities Act, or ADA.
Darris wants Ross to pay him back and wants the court to make sure future shows are easy for disabled people to attend.
