On Wednesday, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Alphonsus Eba, announced that the party has permission from the police to march in all 196 political wards of the state. This is to counter a nationwide protest.

Eba shared this information while talking to journalists at the APC office in Calabar.

He said he will lead the APC members on specific routes in Calabar for 14 days.

According to Eba, other party leaders and members will do similar marches in their local areas starting August 1st.

“We are marching to support the President and our state governor for their achievements, which have helped improve the lives of Nigerians,” Eba said.

“If anyone tries to create trouble, the police will take them to places where they can get help,” he added.
