Chido Obi-Martin is moving from Arsenal to join Manchester United.
We have now learned that Ruud van Nistelrooy, who used to play for Manchester United, helped make this happen.
A football expert named Fabrizio Romano says van Nistelrooy showed Obi-Martin Manchester United’s long-term plans.
Romano tweeted: “Ruud van Nistelrooy talked directly to Chido Obi-Martin about Manchester United’s future plans.”
“Van Nistelrooy was very important in getting Obi-Martin to say yes, and now the deal is almost signed!”
Chido Obi-Martin, who is 16 years old, left Arsenal because his contract ended in June.
Even though Arsenal offered him a new contract, he decided to go to another team. He wasn’t sure he would get a chance to play in the main team at Arsenal.
