Two Impostor Lecturers Apprehended by BUK Security Officers

Must Read

Two men pretending to be teachers were caught selling books to new students at Bayero University Kano, known as BUK.

This news was shared in a special message by the Acting Registrar of the university, Bala G. Abdullahi.

The message said that the two men, named Mr. David Iluebe and Mr. Chike E. Eke, came from Edo and Delta states. They went into a classroom in the Faculty of Engineering.

The men told the students they were teachers and showed them four textbooks. These books were about English, Statistics, Nigerian People, and Culture. They said the books were needed for the students to pass their tests.

If the students didn’t buy the books, the men said they would fail their courses.

Because the new students wanted to do well in their studies, they bought the books.

But some people thought something was not right, so they told the university security. The security team arrested the two men.

The Acting Registrar said the men are now facing charges for pretending to be teachers, tricking people, and entering the university without permission.

The men admitted they did it because they did not have jobs. They also said this was their second time trying this trick in Kano State. They had tried it before at Kano State Polytechnic earlier this year.
