No Need to Protest, Nigeria is Fine – Portable

Must Read

Everyone in Nigeria is feeling the pinch because life is getting expensive. But a famous singer named Portable says there’s no need to protest about it.

News from DAILY POST says many Nigerians are planning to protest from August 1 to August 10, 2024. They are upset about how things are going under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

Portable, however, spoke out on Instagram on Thursday. He thinks the protest is useless. In his view, only people without jobs want to protest.

The singer also made it clear that he won’t perform during the protest. He said asking him to perform shows laziness.

“If anyone asks me to sing during the protest, I’ll be mad. Don’t you have your own music producer? Grab a mic and go protest yourself,” he said.

“I need to earn money. I’m working hard. If you were doing your job, you wouldn’t need to protest. Don’t fight for Nigeria; fight for yourself.

“Nigeria is fine; it’s you who need to sort out your life. There is money around; maybe you just haven’t tried hard enough or been loyal to the right people.

“Maybe you haven’t made enough connections. There are people who can help and jobs to be found. If you’re jobless, it’s on you. Fight for yourself,” Portable advised.
