MURIC Demands Ban on Film Featuring Nancy Isime in Niqab, Calling It ‘Satanic’

Must Read

The Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, wants the government to stop a movie that actress Nancy Isime is in.

DAILY POST says Nancy shared a poster of a new movie called ‘Blood Brothers.’ In the poster, she is wearing a niqab and holding a gun.

A niqab is a long piece of clothing Muslim women wear. It covers their whole body and face, but not their eyes.

Lots of people on the internet got very upset when they saw the picture. Some Muslims were very angry because she wore the niqab in a scene where she is robbing a bank.

Ishaq Akintola, who is the director of MURIC, spoke about this on Thursday. He said the movie is very bad and called it “satanic.”

He asked the National Film and Video Censors Board, NFVCB, to stop the movie. He believes the movie is against Muslims.

He said: “A movie that doesn’t like Muslims has been made in Nigeria. In the movie, women in niqabs are seen with guns and robbing banks. This is hate against Muslims. The movie is bad, evil, and makes people angry.

“It tries to show Muslim women as bad people who like violence. This can make people think badly about Muslim women.

“We think people who don’t like Muslims made this movie to stop our women from wearing hijabs and niqabs.

“This plan has been around for a long time and started in schools. Muslims fought against this in Nigerian courts until the highest court spoke about it. This bad movie is the newest try to stop hijabs.

“This hate movie can cause big problems in Nigeria if nothing is done. We ask the NFVCB to look into this and stop the movie right away.

“To Nigerian Muslims who are sending us many messages, please stay calm and peaceful. You have made your point clear. Let the authorities handle this.”
