The Nigeria Customs Service in Onne, Rivers, has seized seven big boxes full of illegal drugs worth N11 billion.

Mr. Muhammed Babandede, the head of the customs there, talked about it in a meeting on Thursday.

He said that the boxes had things like Codeine cough syrups, Chilly cutter, Hyergra tablets, and Really Extra Diclofenac tablets.

Babandede said he was worried because some bad people are still trying to bring in illegal goods and drugs.

“Even though we keep warning and trying to stop this. Some people are still not listening and are making our job harder.

“Our team is working hard to watch the ports and stop bad stuff from coming into our country,” he said.

He explained that the illegal drugs would be given to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency so they can look into it more.
