Three young people, Sheu Babuga (20), Bunbe Densi, and Sanda Ali (19), were sent to jail on Thursday by an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan. They are accused of trying to kidnap someone.
These three people didn’t give their home addresses to the court. They were charged with planning to kidnap and trying to kidnap someone.
The judge, Mrs. Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, didn’t ask them to say if they were guilty or not because her court could not handle this case.
She told the police to send the case details to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for more advice on what to do next.
The judge said the court will talk about this case again on September 30.
Inspector Oladejo Balogun, the policeman in charge, said these three young people did something wrong on June 19 at around 10:30 in the morning. It happened at Olooro village, on the Sepeteri-Ibadan express road.
Inspector Balogun said they tried to kidnap a person named Azeez Adebaye on that road.
He also said that what they did goes against Section 5 of the Oyo State Kidnapping Prohibition law from 2016.
