A few people were taken by bad guys in Ondo State. Now, these bad guys want N3 million for each person they took.
The bad guys called one of the families and said they need to pay N3 million for their loved one. This happened over the weekend.
These people were taken on a road called Ifon-Owo in Ose Local Government Area. They were coming back from Enugu State after finishing a training camp for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
When the bad guys attacked, they shot the driver and a lady passenger.
Lawal Happiness, who has a sister among the taken ones, shared the sad news. The bad guys first asked for a lot of money, N30 million, but later said N1 million. Then, they changed their mind and asked for N3 million again.
Lawal said, “My sister, Adewole Paul Oluwaseun, was taken. She was with four other NYSC members named Oluwadara Feranmi (f), Andrew Patience (f), Oribamise Taiwo (f), and Ajayi Lekan (m).
“After they finished their NYSC training, they wanted to go home to get ready for their next assignment. They started their journey on July 18, 2024, at 9 am from Enugu State.
“We followed her journey using the phone. They stopped in Onitsha for a bit and continued to Akure. By 10:15 pm, they reached Ifon. After that, we couldn’t contact them anymore.
“On July 19 at 7:45 am, a bad guy called and said she was taken and asked for N30 million. We told the police but nothing happened.
“Later that day, the bad guys asked for N3 million. We begged for help. On July 20, they said N1 million, but on July 21, they changed it back to N3 million. If we don’t give the money by 9 pm on July 21, they said they will tell us where to find their bodies.”
