Must Read

On Saturday, Governor Godwin Obaseki from Edo State said that Asue Ighodalo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming September election, will win and take over his position.

Governor Obaseki believes that Asue Ighodalo will be a better governor because he is smart, honest, and disciplined.

The governor talked about this during a meeting with PDP leaders from all the 18 local government areas in the state. The meeting took place in Benin City, and they discussed plans for the election happening on September 21.

Obaseki said, “The primary election that chose Asue Ighodalo is being praised all over the country as the best ever.

“I am thankful to all of you for working with the delegates and choosing him as our candidate. He will represent our party in this election and take over as governor of Edo State.

“I have known him for about 40 years. I thank God for giving us someone who I believe will do a better job than I have done. He is smart and honest and learned discipline from his mother.

“I am sure that with all your hard work, Asue Ighodalo will become the governor of Edo State on September 21, 2024. We are the strongest party in the state, and I am not worried. We will win the election.”
