The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is very happy about a recent court decision in Abuja, Nigeria. The court said that the PDP’s candidate, Asue Ighodalo, could run in the upcoming governorship election on September 21, 2024, in Edo State.
The PDP said this decision shows how fair and good their previous primary election on February 22, 2024, was. This election took place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City. The court’s decision is seen as a win for democracy and following the law.
A spokesperson for PDP, Debo Ologunagba, said, “People all over Edo State are happy about this court decision. This shows that most people in Edo State want Dr. Asue Ighodalo to be their governor in the upcoming election.”
