NECO Announces 2024 Examination Results for Unity Schools

Must Read

Good news! The Federal Government has released the results for the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE). These results are for students who want to join JSS1 at the Federal Unity Colleges.

Yusuf Sununu, the Minister of State for Education, shared this information at a news conference in Abuja.

He said that one student scored the highest mark of 203.

He explained that out of 71,291 students who registered, 66,931 took the test, while 4,360 did not show up.

“The highest score that could be gotten was 210. One student got the top score of 203, and 13 students got the lowest score of one,” he said.

This year, there were some problems with cheating. A total of 52 students (2 from Lagos State and 50 from Rivers State) were involved in exam malpractice.

For another special exam, the Federal Government Academy (FGA), 2,649 students registered. Out of these, 2,336 took the test while 313 were absent. The highest score here was 180, and the lowest was five.

Sununu also mentioned the rules for getting into Federal Unity Colleges. The rules are still the same:

  • 60% of the spots are based on merit (how well you did in the exam).
  • 30% are based on state equality (making sure students from all states get a chance).
  • 10% are based on urgency or special needs.

He asked the Senior Secondary Education Department to make sure that admissions happen quickly and follow these rules.
