Exciting news! Nigeria’s Mayowa Nicholas has been confirmed as a part of the lineup for the Victoria’s Secret 2024 Fashion Show.
The renowned lingerie brand announced this on their Instagram page, stating: We’re thrilled to announce @mayowanicholas will be gracing the runway at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Discussing her return to the runway in a exclusive interview with Victoria Secret, she expressed her excitement and anticipation for the show and the camaraderie backstage with other models.
She shared: For me, the highlight is spending time with the amazing women backstage. The backstage atmosphere with the girls is one of the best parts of fashion shows—it feels like a sisterhood. And I can’t wait for the glamour, the wings, and just the overall experience!”
Nicholas made her debut on the Victoria’s Secret Runway back in 2018, becoming the second Nigerian, after Oluchi Orlandi, to walk in this prestigious and iconic fashion show.
Within just four years of her career, the 26-year-old has also been the first Nigerian model to feature in campaigns for luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Saint Laurent, and Calvin Klein.
She was born on 22 May 1998, and was a finalist in the 2014 Elite Model Look contest alongside Italian model Greta Varlese.
