Chairmanship Position for PDP Zones Shifted to Taraba Central

Must Read

The Taraba State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has decided to give the state chairmanship role to the Central part of the state.

This decision was made on Saturday during a party meeting at the Government House in Jalingo, the state’s capital city.

During the meeting, a former Nigerian ambassador to Pakistan, Idris Waziri, told journalists that everyone in the meeting agreed to share the eleven key positions in the party among the three main zones in the state.

He mentioned that they all agreed to give the state party chairmanship to the central zone.

The goal, he said, is to make sure everyone is treated fairly and equally, which will help the party win more elections in Taraba and across Nigeria.

“We have decided to share the party positions in a way that is fair and just, so every zone in the state has a say in the party.

“For now, we have only decided on the 11 main positions. Some of the current leaders will stay while others will leave. Later, we will decide who can run for elections. We won’t force anyone to be a candidate.

“The chairmanship role will go to the Central, the deputy chairman to the North, and the secretary to the South,” he declared.

“No one can catch us off guard because our party is strong and well-organized.”

“We also have a leader who is devoted, well-educated, and wants the best for both our party and the state,” he added.

Waziri also mentioned that the PDP in Taraba will keep following the rules and doing what is right. He said the party will always strive for fairness and justice.
