The Adamawa State Police said on Saturday that they stopped a group of people from doing bad things. This group had some people who worked for the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) and some local vigilantes.
Police spokesman SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje told us that they got a secret tip that something wrong was happening. Because of this, some detectives quickly went to a warehouse in Limawa Ward, Yola North Local Government Area.
They caught eight people – three from ADSEMA and five vigilantes. They also found and took back 98 bags of maize, millet, and guinea corn. These bags of food were stolen.
The people they caught are between 22 and 53 years old. The head police officer, Commissioner Dankombo Morris, praised the Jimeta Police Station’s leader and his team. He said they did a good job because they quickly went there and caught the bad guys, and got back the stolen food.
