Popular singers, Ayra Starr and Tems, are announced as the most listened to Nigerian artists on Spotify.
Spotify, a big music streaming app, shared this in a list of Nigeria’s top 30 songs for the first half of 2024.
Ayra Starr’s popular song with Rauw Alejandro called ‘Santa’ got a lot of attention.
She got the second spot with her own song called ‘Comma’, while Tems got third place with ‘Love Me Jeje’.
Coming in fourth was ‘Another Vibe’ by Luciano and Omah Lay. Burna Boy and Savage’s song ‘Metro Booming Just Like Me’ came fifth. Tyla and Tems’s song ‘No.1’ was the sixth most played song.
Phiona Okumu, the Head of Music in Sub-Saharan Africa for Spotify, said on Wednesday in a press meeting in Lagos, that “the list shows the Nigerian songs most listened to outside the country from January 1 to June 30, 2024.”
