ACAMB re-elects Rasheed Bolarinwa as president

Members of the Association of Corporate Communications and Marketing Professionals of Banks of Nigeria (ACAMB) have re-elected Rasheed Bolarinwa as president of the association.

Bolarinwa, head of corporate communications at Polaris Bank, was elected president of the association for the first time in 2022.

The association also re-elected Oze Kalu as first vice president, Sipe Babajide as general secretary, Omide Odekina as deputy general secretary and Utulu Ozena as social secretary.

In his acceptance speech, Bolarinwa said that over the past 24 months ACAMB has achieved significant milestones in corporate and marketing communications within the banking sector, fostering collaboration, innovation and excellence.

Despite the challenges, the organization has solidified its position as a model of best practices in the industry, he said.

“As we embark on this new mandate, my commitment to each member remains unwavering. Working with the new Exco, we will continue to strive for excellence, explore new avenues for growth and maintain the highest standards of professionalism. ACAMB will be a platform where ideas flourish, relationships are strengthened and the collective wisdom of our diverse membership (from our elders, past presidents, members and associates) drives us forward,” he said.

He expressed gratitude to the outgoing executive team for their dedication.

He said he looked forward to collaborating with both familiar faces and new voices to guide ACAMB to greater success.

About the president

Bolarinwa is one of Nigeria’s award-winning marketing and corporate communications professionals whose artistry and charisma have positively influenced the fortunes of the profession.

His more than 26 years of post-qualification experience has allowed him to apply his honed skills in journalism, public relations, marketing, corporate communications, strategic brand management, insurance, human resources, consulting and banking.

He is a certified integrated marketing communications practitioner and brand management professional, trained with two master’s degrees and leadership training from local and foreign institutions.

He was general secretary of the association for two terms.

He belongs to key professional associations in the field of communications. He is a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Registered Professional and Council Member of the Association of Advertising Practitioners of Nigeria (APCON), among others. .
