Singer Oritsefemi has refuted his ex-wife Nabila Fash’s claim that a Lagos State High Court finalized their divorce on March 21, 2024.

The singer married Nabila in 2017, but their marriage ended in 2022 due to accusations of infidelity.

In a cease and desist letter from Nabila’s attorney, Rockson Igelige of Rockson Legal, he stated that they were officially divorced.

On Tuesday, Igelige shared a copy along with an official statement with PREMIUM TIMES.

During a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Oritsefemi, who started his music career in 2006 and did a popular remake of Fela Kuti’s song ‘Double Wahala’, blamed his wife for his inability to have children.

He said during the interview: “Nabila had 21 miscarriages, but she still tells me, Oritsefemi, that I cannot get her pregnant. My wife asked her friends to come beat me at my house. I said, ‘Look at me, lion, women being chased.’ There are up to 20, and they win, and I’m not lying.”

However, through his lawyer, Rockson Igelige of Rockson Legal, Nabila said Oritsefemi fabricated the allegations.

Nabila’s lawyer, who gave the singer fourteen days to retract the “defamation,” warned him not to refer to Nabila as his wife.

no divorce

However, the ‘Igbeyawo’ hitmaker stated in an interview on Thursday with PREMIUM TIMES that he was unaware of the divorce proceedings his ex-wife mentioned.

He said: “I was never aware of the divorce. No one has ever given me a letter. No one in the world has ever given me a divorce letter and I don’t know what they’re talking about.

“They told everyone that I can’t get a woman pregnant, but now I tell the same world that the person who said I can’t get any woman pregnant was impregnated by me about 21 times.”

Nabila, your friends kicked me out of my property.

Oritsefemi further alleged that Nabila conspired with others to throw him and his children out of their house.

“He seized my properties without a court order and took justice into his own hands. He kicked my children out of our house without knowing how I was taking care of them.

“He chased them out into the street without knowing their mother. I don’t want to get into that. Did she tell you that she still has my properties? She kicked me and my son out. Did she or someone tell you that? she added.

The 39-year-old insisted his claims about Nabila on the Chude podcast were factual, adding that she would have to come forward to deny them if they were made up.

“I have my lawyer and my lawyer can defend me. I have not seen anything. I don’t know what they’re saying. I have never been given a letter to go to court. I am telling the truth. How do I recant the truth? If it is not true, let him come and defend himself.”

Carolina Danjuma

During his infamous interview with Chude, the Nigerian musician alleged that Caroline Danjuma married Tagbo Umeike, a friend of singer Davido who died in 2017.

Caroline married the younger brother of former Defense Minister Theophilus Danjuma in 2007.

They had three children before divorcing in 2016.

Furthermore, the singer alleged that he influenced his ex-wife, Nabila Fash, to marry him solely for financial reasons.

Speaking to this newspaper, Oritsefemi stood by his claims and said he could not be intimidated.

“What I said about Dajuma was not made up. Everyone is joking. I want to help them. They had never helped me before. “They tell the whole world that they are the ones who take care of me.”

Caroline, a former Real Housewives of Lagos reality star, had threatened, through her publicist Bodex Hungbo, to sue the ‘Double Wahala’ singer.

He said he would take legal action against Oritsefemi.
