Nollywood star Jnr Pope, who died on April 10 while filming a movie titled “The Other Side of Life”, has been laid to rest.
Tears flowed freely as the 43-year-old actor was buried at Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, in Nsukka, Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.

PREMIUM TIMES earlier reported that his final burial rites began on Friday morning with an Episcopal burial mass celebrated at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Ukehe.
Jnr Pope was laid to rest after fans, colleagues and family paid their last respects.

Celebrities at the funeral include Destiny Etiko, Rita Edochie, E-Money, Chinwe Owoh, Benson Okonkwo, singer Kcee and Zubby Michael among others.
Those attending the funeral shared their encounters and memories and celebrated his contributions to the Nigerian film industry.
The late actor’s wife, Jennifer Awele, could not hold back her tears during the funeral and burial.

Mrs Edochie expressed her anguish upon hearing of Junior Pope’s death, adding that she never imagined the day would come when she would have to say goodbye to him.
Mrs. Edochie wrote on her Instagram page: “I am currently in Ukehe in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State for the burial/funeral of my great son Junior Pope.
“I arrived last night and since then I’ve been wondering if he’s the person everyone rallies around. “This was a reality.”

Burial arrangements for Pope Jr. began on April 23 with a requiem mass at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish in Asaba, Delta State.
Another requiem mass took place on May 13 at Christ the King Catholic Parish in GRA, Enugu.
On May 14, the actor was honored with an evening of tributes and candlelight at the Amadeo Event Center in Enugu.
The actor’s wake was held on May 16 at his country house in Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, a community in the Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of the state.
Burial arrangements will conclude on Sunday with a thanksgiving mass at St Peter’s Catholic Church in Ukehe.
He is survived by a wife and three children.
