Chioma and Davido’s relationship has been the subject of discussion on the internet for a few weeks and counting.

Over the past week, different women have alleged that the singer got them pregnant. On June 28, the internet was set ablaze when a certain Anita Brown opened a can of worms claiming Davido was the father of her unborn child. This didn’t end there as other women including a French woman have also heaped pregnancy allegations.

This is not the first time he is accused of cheating on Chioma who is now married to.

Recall that the pair had parted ways and only rekindled their romance shortly before the loss of their son, Ifeanyi.

In February 2021, Davido was seen holding hands with an American model known as Mya Yafai, and reports emerged that the pair had been spotted vacationing together sparking outrage from different quarters on social media.

Despite everything, Chioma has stayed silent and has been inactive on social media as she continues to mourn her son’s loss.

While their relationship continues to play center stage especially because of their limelight status, there are three major lessons to learn from Chioma and Davido’s love story.

1. Love is never enough

Love, a feeling of deep affection for someone can be likened to the engine of a car. An engine is important to a car however it needs support for other components to move. As important as love is to a relationship, it still needs other ingredients like character, respect, honesty, trust, and communication to make it work.

We all know about Chioma and Davido’s love for each other but love like they say is never enough.

Their relationship dates as far back as 2012 as students of Babcock University. This shows that she was in his life long before his baby mamas. The love he claimed to have for her however didn’t stop him from causing her pain and doing things that would leave her embarrassed and unhappy.

2. Invest in yourself

There is nothing as beautiful as a woman who invests in her career and self-development. You automatically become attractive to people around you.

Chioma as we all know in the heat of her relationship with Davido dropped out of the university and failed to go back. She was the butt of jokes by many for dropping out of school because of money and was alleged to have been disowned by her parents.

Thankfully now, she is not doing badly as an entrepreneur and influencer as she has quite a number of brand endorsements due to her large following on Instagram. She is also a chef and is taking steps to improve her skills.

If you find yourself in a relationship like this, know that this is not the time to mop around in self-pity. Pick yourself and go after your passion. It’s never too late to be the person you want to be.

3. Know when its time to move on

After all, is said and done, you need to know when to move on from a relationship that constantly ridicules and embarrasses you. Chioma has been the butt of many jokes due to her ability to accept all of Davido’s excesses and shenanigans.

Not everyone can be a ‘Chioma’ and you don’t have to be one. Maybe you think you are the ‘Messiah’ that God sent to change him.

Sorry to burst your bubble but sis, that’s not happening.

One of the most difficult and nearly impossible things in life is trying to change an adult; know this and know peace.

Yes, he may have been your first love, and you both may have even dated for years thinking it would lead to happily ever after, however, if he doesn’t respect you or your feelings, doesn’t put you in high regard, has a questionable character, keeps doing the same thing over and over, embarrasses you with his actions, then you need to have a rethink and walk away to keep your sanity.

It’s okay to take a walk when something is no longer serving you. Remember, a broken relationship is always better than a broken marriage.

Respect yourself enough to know when it’s time to move on.
