The Nigerian Navy agents have arrested 27 people suspected of participation in drug trafficking during a specific operation in Lagos. This was revealed on Wednesday by Lieutenant Hussaini Ibrahim, spokesman for the Nigerian Navy ship, Nns Beecroft, who declared that the arrests followed a raid coordinated and directed by Intelligence in a well -known criminal enclave in the Gidan drama, located along Malu Road in Apapa.
The operation, which aimed to dismantle a suspicion of the drug distribution network, resulted in the arrest of 27 suspects, 24 men and three women. Lieutenant Ibrahim said that successful repression was based on credible intelligence received by naval staff, underlining the continuous commitment of the Navy to support internal security efforts and stop the illegal activities within their area of operations.
“The raid took place on Saturday, April 5, 2025 by Nns Beecroft personnel after credible intelligence received by the base on the presence of alleged drug trafficking vendors in Gidan's drama that required the deployment of operation table,” he said.
“During the raid, a total of 27 alleged drug dealers that include three women and 24 men were arrested with hard drugs and other illicit substances.”
