The armed bandits on April 5, 2025 launched a brutal attack against the Rakyabu village in the local government area of the State of Zamfara, around 6:30 pm
The assailants opened fire indiscriminately, causing generalized panic among the villagers, and burned several houses.
According to intelligence sources, during the attack, the bandits kidnapped five women, including one identified as Rakiya Adamu and four others, before fleeing the scene.
The attackers quickly disappeared to an unknown place.
The troops of the Fansan Yanma operation were rapidly deployed in the village, but when they arrived, the bandits had already left.
Reports indicate that the authorities are currently working to guarantee the safe return of kidnapped women.
