According to the reports, the governor of the state of Rivers, Siminalayi Fubara, has annulled the Government's house in Port Harcourt along with his family and security details.

According to a nearby source that requested anonymity, Fubara left the headquarters of power on Wednesday morning. The source, which was not authorized to talk about the matter, did not provide more details about the reason behind the move.

Meanwhile, the presence of security in the Government's house remains scarce, although two armor of armored personnel (APC) parked in front of the facilities on Tuesday night were still present until Wednesday, with a handful of land security agents.

On Tuesday, Tinubu declared an emergency state in the state of Rivers and suspended Fubara, his deputy, Ngozi Odu and all the chosen members of the State Assembly Chamber for six months.

He said that the decision was made to restore stability in the state that has witnessed political agitation as a result of the disagreement between the state governor and state legislators.

After his statement, the President appointed a former head of the Naval Personnel, Admiral Ibokette Ibas, as administrator of the State of Rivers.
