Delta police arrest the alleged arms corridor, recover ammunition in Delta

The Delta State Police command arrested a suspect who tries to obtain AK-47 ammunition, recovered an AK-47 rifle.

There was arrest of multiple suspects linked to kidnapping, the armed robbery of cultism and interrogation of Durng, the suspect revealed the place where the gang's weapon was hidden.

Acting to the notice, the officers broke into a bush along the railway line in Agbarho, upon arrival, found strong gang shots, which resulted in a fierce shooting.

Four of the alleged kidnappers suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to the General Hospital, Ughelli, where they were later confirmed dead.

Similarly, an alleged kidnapper, Abdulahi Isah, was arrested in Ibusa after the report of a kidnapping incident that involved a victim's wife.

Acting quickly about the intelligence provided by the plaintiff, the Police, in collaboration with local vigilantes, arrested the suspect in a bushing hiding place.

Other operations led to the arrest of alleged cultists in Warri and Sapele.

On March 13, the agents arrested Gideon Sunday (34) and Godstime Salomon (27), who were traveling in a tricycle in the Agbogidi area.

A search in the vehicle revealed a gun locally cut to its size loaded with two lively hidden cartridges in the engine compartment.

Later that day, Junior Moses (30) was arrested in Warri with a similar weapon.

His confessions led to the arrest of great odiety (28) in Sapele, where the police recovered a manufactured Beretta pistol.

The Police Public Relations officer (PPRO), SP EDAFE BRIGHT, said the police recovered the magazine loaded rifle.

He said the efforts are ongoing to detain other members of the gang.
