I am concentrated in governance, not the inactive conversations: UBA Sani

Governor Uba Sani has said that his focus is to serve the people of the state of Kaduna who chose him and not participate in “inactive and inactive conversations that will not add value to governance.”

The governor said that in the last 22 months, his administration has intervened in the agricultural sector, improved education and brought security in the areas most affected by insecurity in the past.

Governor Uba Sani, who spoke after Iphtar's dinner with the influencers of Kaduna's social networks at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim house on Saturday, said he is focused on governance and will not be distracted by the dispute with anyone.

He revealed that the shortage of the water supply transmitted by pipes will soon be addressed, which has been affecting the state of Kaduna in the past, promising that the water will be available in the 23 local governments by the end of the year.

The governor recalled that he declared an emergency state in the water sector when he assumed the position because the use of the water supply scheme was less than 5%.

Governor Uba Sani revealed that the capacity has now increased to 30% and by the end of the year, it will reach 100%.

He said that his administration has cleared the salary accumulation of Kaduna State Water Corporation that amounts to N800 million, adding that “we have resolved the debts of electricity worth N1.3 billion. We are also modernizing all the small water supply schemes in the 23 local governments. ''

The governor also reiterated that peace has returned to the local governments of Birnin Gwari and Giwa, who were threatened by insecurity during the last administration.

According to him, the Birnin Gwari cattle market that had been closed for more than 10 years due to security challenges, opened last November and the business is now booming. Adding that daily, more than 30 trailers are won in the southern part of the country.

Governor Uba Sani praised the influencers of social networks for highlighting the activities of the Kaduna state government, promising to support them in their efforts to promote administration.

Speaking before, the president of the influencers of Kaduna's social networks, Malam Adam Garba, thanked the governor for organizing them to Ifar, adding that this was the first time that any governor has done so.

The president also praised Governor Uba Sani for the support he has been giving them, noting that the government had previously given them palliative of Ramadan.

However, Adam begged the governor to provide employment with some of its members who have required qualifications, when there are work opportunities available.
