According to reports, a sixteen -year -old boy identified as Sylvester has drowned in the Ecomog River in the Owhelogbo community, Delta state.
It was learned that the victim had gone to the river to swim with a friend who finally gave an alarm in the community when he could not be found and suspected that he could have drowned.
The reports say that the natives searched the missing teenager in the river, but could not find it. However, his lifeless body was found hours later, floating in the river and was recovered.
It was learned that the deceased could swim very well and that it was not his first time with his friends in the river.
The friend who gave the news to the community said it seemed that something was dragging the deceased in the water immediately, entered the river and could not help him.
At the time of this report, the deceased's remains have been buried next to the river in line with the custom and tradition of Isako.
