The local stock market decreased when the index of the entire exchange of Nigerian exchange (NGX) fell by 0.43 percent to 106,167.75 basic points on Tuesday.

This recession resulted in a corresponding reduction of 0.43 percent in the market capitalization of the listed shares, reduced N66.48 billion and eliminated N284 billion of investor portfolios.
As a result, monthly and year yields to date were set at -1.5 percent and +3.2 percent, respectively.

Sectorial performance was largely negative, with key sectors that published losses: bank decreased by 0.21 percent, consumer goods by 0.28 percent and oil and gas by 0.03 percent.
However, insurance and basic products rates registered slight profits of 0.46 percent and 0.02 percent, respectively, while the industrial goods sector remained unchanged.

The amplitude of the market reflected the general weakness, with 23 actions that advance against 31 decline.
The main winners included cattle, Cornerstone Insurance, International Energy Insurance, Smurfit and Lasaco insurance, while Mecure, ABC Transport, Daar Communication, Guinea Insurance and Royal Exchange led the loser list.

In the midst of the predominant bearish feeling, the weakened commercial activity, with the number of agreements, the volume of negotiation and the value decreasing by 13.13 percent, 11.06 percent and 55.08 percent, respectively.
In total, 324.59 million shares worth N7.92 billion were negotiated at 12,652 transactions.
