Fiscal Reform Law: Senator Lalong Optimistic of Economic Reform

The senator that represents the South South South Senatorial District of Plateau of the State of Plateau that is also a finance committee of the Member Senate, Simon Bako Lalong has expressed optimism that Nigeria's economy will experience a boost when the Fiscal Reform Law is activated.

Senator Lalong, who joined other members of the Committee in a retirement held in the Zuma Complex in the state of Niger, said that the bills that are under scrutiny will ensure that the fiscal resources of the Nation are used and distributed properly for effective use.

The president of the Finance Committee, Senator Sani Musa, said that the withdrawal became necessary for senators to have a queue to reflect and study the bills in order to understand not only the contents, but to point out any area that must be addressed during consideration.

He said that experts were invited to give legislators various points of view on bills and also help them verify each article to ensure that the interests of Nigerians are captured.
