United Capital pays investors N2.40k Total dividend per share

United Capital PLC (UCAP) has experienced a remarkable growth trajectory of seven years, which culminated in an explosive increase in 2024 with its profits after tax (PAT) more than what doubled, from N11.42 billion in 2023 to N24.10 billion in 2024, which represents a substantial increase of 111.03 percent.

On the basis of a decade of consistent dividends payments, United Capital achieved a significant milestone in 2024 by introducing its inaugural provisional dividend of 90 Kobo per share, showing its exceptional financial performance

In addition, the company executed an issuance of bonus actions of 2 by 1 in 2024, a strategic movement to increase shareholders participation.

This action increased the total number of shares in circulation from 6 billion to 18 billion, adding 12 billion new shares.

This means that for each existing action, the shareholders received two additional actions, which led their total holdings to three actions for each initial property property.

United Capital PLC continues to deliver value to its shareholders, proposing a final dividend of 50 Kobo per share for financial year 2024. This leads to the total distribution of dividends of the company for the year to N2.40 Kobo.

It demonstrates a strong growth of dividends. In 2024, the company distributed N14.4 billion in dividends, reflecting a substantial increase of 44 percent compared to N10.0 billion of the previous year.

Looking at the long term, their dividend payments have shot at 860 percent in the last 10 years, from 25 Kobo to N2.40.

Gross gains increased by 82.50 percent due to loan revenues, dividend income from values ​​investments, the interests of locations and bonds, which show the company's active negotiation strategy.

Rate and commission revenues increased 80.18 percent emanating from financial advice and other rates and commissions, confirming the leadership of the company's industry.

The company's net commercial income increased by 61.17 percent derived from the profits of the sale of financial instruments, while the net gain in financial assets at fair value through profits and losses increased by 18.77 percent, which reinforces the company's commitment to the growth of its assets.

Total expenses decreased by 45.51 percent, which shows the company's capacity to administer its expenses, while total expenses to serious profits decreased significantly by 63.26 percent compared to the fall of 36.20 percent in 2023.

The profits before the company's revenues accelerated by 73.96 percent that shows a continuous increase in profitability, as well as earnings for the year increase 111.06 percent significant, which provides value to interested parties.

The company reiterated that it remains the commitment to reward its shareholders while holding this remarkable performance, and added that it is ready to lead the Nigerian capital market and unlock new opportunities in the African continent.
