Hajiya Fatima Bago, wife of the governor of Niger, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Bago, has launched a free medical dissemination in the Edati community, area of the state of the local government of Edati; destined to improve access to medical care throughout the state.
The three -day medical dissemination, a collaboration between its office and the Graceland Healthcare Development Foundation, Kaduna, will provide free surgeries, 1,000 reading glasses, medical consultations, essential medicines and health education to the members of the community.
Hajiya Fatima Umaru Bago praised the foundations for his initiative, saying: “It would improve Niger's life through health services.”
She emphasized the importance of charity and compassion, stating that “gathering is not just about having and giving wealth, it is about using what we have to raise those around us.”
The program will provide free medical consultations, surgeries, projections and reading glasses to allow people to live healthier lives.
The first lady praised her husband, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, for her efforts in the transformation of the state health sector.
The Primary Health Commissioner, Dr. Ibrahim Dagana, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tertiary Health, Dr. Win Mohammed, said the Ministry would guarantee the necessary provisions to provide quality medical care to the people of Edati.
The Foundation project coordinator, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed, said that three -day medical intervention aims to perform 200 surgeries, aimed at various health conditions such as hernia, appendicitis and utererovaginal prolapse.
He said that the intervention is directed to various health conditions, such as hernia, appendicitis, ganglion, uerovaginal prolapse, bocos, fibroids, hydrocele and non -descended testicles.
In addition, he explained that medical dissemination would also provide medical care services for hypertension, diabetes, ulcer, malaria, typhoid and deworming, especially for women and children.
