Omotayo, a public servant, has led his wife, she to a usual court in Jikwoyi, Abuja, federal territory of the capital capital (FCT), accusing her of poor hygiene.
According to the Nigeria news agency (NAN), Omotayo, who resides within the court jurisdiction, requested divorce, saying that he could no longer tolerate his wife's dirty habit.
“The main problem I have been breastfeeding with my wife since we got married is that of his poor hygiene.
“She leaves our house wearing dirty and messy all the time.
“Every time I return from work, I find it difficult to rest because the whole house will be dirty and smelling.
“I have tried to deal with all this, but I can't stand it anymore.
“She looks careless and not presentable all the time,” he said.
According to the petitioner, he feels used by the respondent who believes he has achieved his goal by giving birth to children.
“She no longer has love, respect and affection for me,” he told the Court.
Omotayo also said: “My wife moves with her family members to insult, curse and threaten me.”
However, his wife, who is an entrepreneur, denied the accusations filed against her.
The President Judge, Thelma Baba, advised the couple to explore a friendly settlement for the good of their children.
Then he postponed the case.
