Jack Fincham, winner of Love Island, has been sentenced to six weeks in jail after his Corso Corsa dog attacked a man during a race.
The 32 -year -old man declared himself guilty in the Southend Magistrates of two positions to have control of a dog dangerously out of control, with one of the incidents that cause injuries.
In addition to the prison sentence, Fincham received the order to pay £ 3,680 in total, which includes a contribution of £ 2,000 to wax costs, a fine of £ 961 and £ 200 in compensation.
The court heard that Fincham's dog, Elvis, bit a corridor in Swanley, Kent, in September 2022. In June 2023, there was a second incident when Elvis attacked again, this time in Grays, Essex, which led to formal charges against Fincham.
President Anne Wade magistrate commented that Fincham was under a sentence suspended by a previous unrelated driving matter at the time of the incident on Swanley. This suspended sentence was for 12 weeks of custody, which was partially activated as a result of the dog attack, which led to the end of the six -week prison.
“The dog was in a public place that does not remain in the conditions that buzz and maintained with an advantage,” Wade said.
Finham's defense lawyer, Richard Cooper, mentioned that the defendant “had no savings” to cover the £ 3,680, but suggested that he could pay in installments, from £ 400 per month.
The court also issued several conditions regarding the dog, which indicates that it must be made up of public places, maintain a front and not leave alone with anyone less than 16 years.
Finham jumped to fame after winning the fourth Love Island series in 2018, along with his then girlfriend Dani Dyer. The couple, who attached from the beginning, announced their division six months after leaving the program of the program in Mallorca.
