Olaniyan and Prince Adejumobi Olukunle and made journalists available to journalists on Tuesday.

The letter says in parts: “We, the members of Gbajumola/ofiki of the Royal Family of Akalakoyi, we wrote to attract their attention in the ongoing Eleruwa reference fight in Eruwaland, Ibarapa East Local Government Government of Government of Oyo.

“As interested in this matter, we consider that it is necessary to provide clarifications and guidance on the proper interpretation of the declaration of the Chief of Eleruwa of 1957. As will know, Eleruwa's reign is rotational between the two ruling houses: Akalakoyi and Laribikusi.

“After the disappearance of Oba Bolanle Olaniyan Gbajumola II of Akalakoyi, it was Olaribikusi's turn to produce the successor. However, the Oba Samuel Adegbola de Olaribikusi selection was challenged in the Court and finally led to its destroying on November 29, 2019.

“The ruling of the Supreme Court explicitly declared that the new Eleruwa should be selected from the Laribikusi house, since it remains its turn.

“Therefore, we distance our family, Gbajumola/ofiki from Akalakoyi, from any attempt to kidnap Laribikusi's right to produce the next Eleruwa. These actions were equivalent to deceiving our Laribikusi brothers and creating bad blood between the two ruling houses.

“We imply that their excellence prevails in those who seek to destabilize the process and impose on their anointed candidate of Akalakoyi to terminate their decision. We urge you to ensure that the selection process is fair, transparent and in accordance with the provisions of the 1957 Eleruwa Chief Declaration.

“As you will know, its government has already started the process to select a new Eleruwa through the aforement royalty and allow Laribikusi to produce the next Eleruwa. “
