The governor of the state of Kogi, Ahmed Ododo, has reiterated the commitment of his administration to the well -being and education of orphaned students in the state.
Speaking at the governor's displacement ceremony Ododo Orphan Students Care (Goos-Care), organized by the Kogi State Forum of Special Assistants of the Local Government in Lokoja on Saturday, the governor emphasized his position that no child in the state should Feel abandoned or forgotten as a result of the death or financial condition of their parents or guardians.
“They are not orphans as far as we have God Almighty,” said the governor, urging the beneficial students to believe in themselves and avoid trends to succumb to emotional setbacks.
Governor Ododo, who praised the forum of special assistants of the local government for his proactive efforts, described the initiative as a testimony of the success of his administration's policy to bring governance to the bases.
“What you are doing here today shows that we never made any mistakes in our decisions because this government is for people,” he said.
The governor emphasized that his administration focuses on collective responsibility in governance, emphasizing that leaders must prioritize service to people at all times.
Speaking more, Governor Ododo assured the LSA forum on the commitment of his administration to address issues related to pending appointments within the ranks of government base supporters.
He ordered the members of the forum and benefited the students to remain firm, emphasizing that their efforts would shape a brighter tomorrow.
“What we are doing now may not be completely appreciated today, but its value will be evident in the future,” he said.
Also speaking, the general auditor of the local government in the state of Kogi, Yakubu Siyaka Adabenge, praised the forum efforts by closing the gap between the government and the people in the bases.
He charged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the program and make use of the resources provided wisely, emphasizing the need to maintain the program to improve education and basic commitment, describing the initiative as critical tools to promote collective progress and the lasting impact In the state.
Previously, the president of the forum, Jafar Kamarudeen, who expressed a deep gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his visionary leadership and his commitment to a high life, said the program would remain to benefit orphans in the state.
